Snoqualmie Valley Shelter Services

Each Winter Shelter Season we hire temporary, full-time staff to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all of our clients and volunteers. They also provide direct service to clients and are responsible for all shelter operations and the physical management of the shelter space.


Training is provided prior to the shelter opening and throughout the shelter season. Shelter Support Staff ensure a , including community volunteers. 


Candidates should have experience working with people who are experiencing significant stress, have strong personal boundaries, have great written and verbal communication skills, be able to multi-task, independently prioritize tasks, and possess ability to remain calm in crisis situations.

The Shelter Manager is responsible for the safe and smooth operation of our shelter.

This is a part-time position (about 25 hours per week.)

Working together. Helping people get home again.

Overnight Support Staff provide support and assistance to clients and monitors the shelter. Support staff work from 8pm to 8am, usually 3 nights per week (36 hours per week.)
